The Musketeers Story
The Musketeers Lodge was established in April 1998 with a simple idea: to create a peaceful place where guests could feel genuinely at home. Over the years, the lodge has grown and evolved, but that philosophy has remained the same.
Today, Musketeers offers 12 comfortable rooms set across two peaceful garden areas while retaining the intimate character and personal service of a small independent lodge. Set amongst rolling lawns, mature trees, and established gardens, Musketeers offers a welcome escape from the pace of the city while remaining conveniently close to Bulawayo.

The People Behind Musketeers
Sisters Liesel and Leanne Muller, who bought the lodge in 2014, lead the team at Musketeers Lodge, continuing a tradition of warm, personal hospitality that has been at the heart of the lodge for many years. Together with our manager, Liz, and her team, we believe that the details matter — a warm welcome, a comfortable room, a good meal and being available when our guests need us.
Many of our guests return to Musketeers time and again, and that is perhaps the greatest compliment we could receive.

The garden
Our Setting
One of the things that makes Musketeers special is the setting. Mature trees, established gardens and rolling lawns surround the main lodge and guest rooms, attracting abundant birdlife and creating an unexpectedly peaceful environment within Bulawayo. Whether you’re enjoying your morning coffee outside your room, relaxing beneath the trees or ending the day at sunset on the verandah waiting for our resident bushbuck or Nyala to come for a drink at the waterhole on the other side of the fence, there’s always somewhere quiet to settle in.

Since opening in 1998, Musketeers Lodge has been recognized over the years for its hospitality, management, and customer service, including awards for Lodge of the Year, Manager of the Year, and Customer Service Excellence. While we’re proud of that history, what matters most to us is the experience every guest has when they stay with us.
